API ia Quickstart Guide

Get your API key and start sending requests to the uncensored LLM API in minutes. This guide covers authentication, core endpoints, streaming, and advanced features with concrete examples.

Authentication & Base URL

Use your unique API key with every request to the https://api.apiia.cc/v1 base URL. This OpenAI-compatible endpoint works with any standard SDK by setting the base URL and providing your key in the Authorization header. The key is generated immediately upon signup via Google or email, with no phone number required. Keep your key secure, as it grants direct access to your prepaid credit. You can generate a new key at any time, which replaces the previous one instantly.

Sending Your First Completion

Send a POST request to /v1/chat/completions with the model set to "uncensored". This simple text-in, text-out interface handles your prompts without content refusals for lawful adult use. You can control the response length using the max_tokens parameter, which defaults to 2,048 if omitted. The model supports a context window of 100,000 tokens, allowing for substantial prompt histories. Use this endpoint for reliable, unfiltered text generation.

curl https://api.apiia.cc/v1/chat/completions \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "model": "uncensored",
    "messages": [{"role": "user", "content": "What is the capital of France?"}]
  }'

Python SDK Integration

Install the official OpenAI Python package and configure the base URL to point to our service. This allows you to use familiar methods like chat.completions.create() with our uncensored model. The SDK handles tokenization and request formatting automatically. You can pass parameters like temperature and top_p to control creativity and randomness. This approach simplifies integration into existing Python applications or data science workflows.

from openai import OpenAI

client = OpenAI(base_url="https://api.apiia.cc/v1", api_key="YOUR_KEY")

resp = client.chat.completions.create(
    model="uncensored",
    messages=[{"role": "user", "content": "Summarise this thread without softening it."}],
)
print(resp.choices[0].message.content)

Node SDK Integration

Use the OpenAI Node.js SDK by setting the BASE_URL environment variable or configuring the client instance. This enables seamless integration with JavaScript and TypeScript projects. The SDK supports all standard chat completion features, including function calling and JSON mode. You can easily switch between streaming and non-streaming modes. This flexibility makes it ideal for building web applications or serverless functions that require uncensored text generation.

import OpenAI from "openai";

const client = new OpenAI({ baseURL: "https://api.apiia.cc/v1", apiKey: process.env.API_KEY });

const resp = await client.chat.completions.create({
  model: "uncensored",
  messages: [{ role: "user", content: "Draft a villain monologue for my game." }],
});
console.log(resp.choices[0].message.content);

Streaming Responses with SSE

Enable streaming by setting stream: true in your request. The API returns Server-Sent Events (SSE) with each token as it is generated. This provides real-time feedback, reducing perceived latency for end-users. The final chunk includes token usage statistics, allowing you to track costs accurately. Streaming is essential for interactive chat interfaces and dynamic content generation. It ensures a smooth user experience even with longer responses.

stream = client.chat.completions.create(
    model="uncensored",
    messages=[{"role": "user", "content": "Tell the story in second person."}],
    stream=True,
)
for chunk in stream:
    if chunk.choices and chunk.choices[0].delta.content:
        print(chunk.choices[0].delta.content, end="", flush=True)

Limits, Errors, and Context Window

Your API key is limited to 300 requests per minute and 8 concurrent requests. The maximum request body size is 8 MB. If you receive a 401 error, check your API key validity. A 402 error indicates insufficient prepaid credit. A 429 error means you have exceeded the rate limit. The context window supports 100,000 tokens for both prompt and completion combined. Understanding these limits helps you design robust applications that handle errors gracefully.

Frequently asked questions

How do I authenticate my requests?

Include your API key in the Authorization header as a Bearer token. The base URL is HTTPS://api.apiia.cc/v1 for all OpenAI-compatible SDKs.

What happens if I exceed the rate limit?

You will receive a 429 status code. The limit is 300 requests per minute and 8 concurrent requests per key. Wait briefly before retrying.

Is the trial credit valid forever?

No, the $0.50 trial credit is valid for 7 days. Prepaid credit from top-ups never expires, but the trial is one-time per account.
